pumpkins

Today in Homeschooling we made pumpkins and practiced cutting. To you and I using scissors is easy, we don't even think about how to use them. To Candice, its a task. I had to teach her how to hold them, the rules of what not to do with them (IE: Running, pointing at the various animals) and then how to apply all of that to paper and cut. She did pretty good. She only makes small little cuts, but its progress. Something she had never done before, she can do now. She can cut. I need to get glue later for her to glue the things together, but that will be another task she learns today- gluing. Simple to you and I, but yet to her, its new.
